Japonism - Van Gogh
The project was done to showcase the influence of Japanese Art on the work of Vincent Van Gogh. I created a virtual museum, showcasing Van Gogh’s art over a timeline of his life. In the real world, I set up trigger images around a room, which didn’t look like paintings without context.
But when these images were looked at through an Augmented Reality viewer, they came to life, showcasing the real paintings.
One section of these paintings showed how Van Gogh tried to recreate paintings made by the famous Japanese painter Hiroshige, who Van Gogh openly admired.
Kindly look at the images below through the HP Reveal App to see how the exhibition worked.
